BnM and Morrison's Haul

Hi Lovies!
Today I'm going to be showing my new haul that I got from BnM, and a product I picked up from Morrisons.

The first product I picked out was the W7 Legend Foundation. I chose two as I was unsure of what shade I would be and there were no testers available, so I went for shade names that sounded similar to those I have purchased before. In the end I opted for Sand Beige and Natural Beige. These retail for £7.95 here, but I picked them up for a mere £2.99 each at BnM.

I then spotted the NYX Double Stacked Mascara. Its a two step product consisting of a tube of regular mascara and a smaller tube of brush on fibers, designed to create longer lashes when used together. It can be found on the Boots website (and many other retailers) for £14.00. I picked it up at BnM for £3.99.

Just as I was about to leave, I spotted the Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara. Covergirl is a brand not readily available in the UK, so I knew that when I saw it I just had to buy it. I found it listed on Amazon for £10.25, but I was able to purchase it for £2.99.

Finally, I purchased the Academy of Colours Lip Kit from Morrisons. I know it's not a BnM product, but with the nature of this post being about low-cost products I felt I may as well chuck this one in there. I bought the shade Rosie Posie, costing £2.00.

In total, the retail price of these products (excluding the Academy of Colours Lip kit) would have been £40.15 if bought at full price. By purchasing these products in BnM, I only paid £12.96, saving myself £27.19. If these are the sort of products that interest you, it's definitely worth a trip down to BnM as they had loads of other options in store as well.

W7 Delicious Palette: Review

Hi Guys! I'm back today with another review-this time on the W7 Delicious Palette. Now I've actually had this palette for a while now, so I decided it was about time I sat down and did a proper review on it.

This was the first (and currently only) W7 eyeshadow palette I have tested. It's considered a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, which I know is so hyped in the beauty industry. Unfortunately, I don't own the ABH palette so have no comparisons of the two, but in swatch photos I've seen they are pretty similar in my own personal opinion.

I missed the first release of this palette as it sold out so quickly. I then joined a waiting list and was able to grab it the second time around. As it's been a while since I ordered it I don't actually remember how long the delivery took but I can't remember having to wait too long for it. I paid |£12.99 on the W7 website, although various retailers sell it at different prices. It is now listed as being out of stock on their website.

The package arrived wrapped up in bubble wrap to protect the shadows. The outer packaging of the palette is smooth cardboard, whereas I know the ABH version has a velvet/suede texture. I suppose one bonus of the W7 palette is that although it may not look as luxurious as the Modern Renaissance palette, it also won't get as dirty.

Now I've had the palette for around six months now and I quickly found it being one of my most reached for palettes. It's one of the palettes I always take whenever I'm away from home as I know that I can pull a really quick easy eye look from it as well as more complex looks (if I'm feeling stupid brave). The palette has a decent sized mirror inside which makes it even more useful when travelling with it.
Now the palette doesn't actually have shade names printed on the inside, which makes it hard to describe what my favourite shades are in the palette. If you can be bothered to count, then my favourite ones are:
The second shade in the top row- for all over my lid
The first two shades on the bottom row- for adding depth
the fourth one in on the bottom row- for adding warmth
The last two shades on both rows- for adding warmth/dimension.

However, my only issue with this palette is the longevity of some of the shades. I find that almost all the shades used tend to just 'disappear' at the end of a day. In addition to this, the shimmer shades seem to dull down after a few hours. As I don't currently own a higher-end palette, I have no idea if this is due to the low price point of the shadows or whether I just don't use a good enough eye primer, so this may be remedied by using a good eyeshadow primer.

Overall, for the price of this eyeshadow palette I feel like this is a decent product. It blends well, and if I can manage to assemble a half decent look then it can't be that bad! For my first venture into using W7 eyeshadow palettes I'm really impressed with the quality, and I'm now really interested in trying their new 'On The Rocks' palette, which is their dupe for the ABH Subculture palette.

Below are two images. The top image is taken from the ABH website, showing the Modern Renaissance palette, where the bottom picture is my own picture taken of the Delicious palette. Aside from the obvious lighting differences (my photos are taken using an iPhone) I think they look pretty similar.

Thanks for reading loves! If you've tried the On the Rocks palette please feel free to share your thoughts xxxx

Blog Lovin

Hi Guys!
Just a quick one from me today. I've decided to connect my blog to the website Blog Lovin. I've been enjoying reading blogs for years now, but struggled with keeping up with the blogs I enjoy as I wasn't aware of a way to follow them all in one place. Along comes Blog Lovin: a website that does exactly that. Yes I'm a few years late to the party but I've really been enjoying following new blogs the past few weeks.

It basically reminds me of Instagram but for blogs- It's so easy to use and it will allow me to find new blogs and follow existing blogs in a really easy way, as well as making it easier for others who wish so to follow mine.

Anyway thanks for reading guys!xxx

Mario Badescu Essentials Review

Hi Lovelies!
So today I'm going to be reviewing the Mario Badescu 50th Anniversary Edition set. I've had this set for a while now and wanted to sit down and do a proper review on all the products now I've had time to test them all.

I ordered the Anniversary Set from Beauty Bay for £32 (It is currently out of stock on their website though).
It arrived in the box pictured above, with some cardboard separators between the products.  According to Beauty Bay, the set contains "Mario Badescu's bestselling and award winning essentials". Which are:
Drying Lotion,
Enzyme Cleansing Gel,
 Facial Spray with Aloe,
 Herbs and Rosewater,
Flower Tonic Mask
Silver Powder.
The set is rated as four and a half stars on Beauty Bay.

My hands down favourite product in the set is the Drying Lotion. Designed as a spot treatment, I really do feel like this helps to fight them. I wouldn't say it's an overnight cure for spots, but with a few nights of application I definitely notice my spots going away. My method of applying this is to dip a (clean) sponge tip eyeshadow applicator into the pink sediment at the bottom and then dab over any spots. The bottle clearly states to not shake the product, so I don't  know what happens when you actually do, or why you shouldn't do so.

My next favourite item in the set is the Facial spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. I use this every morning and night, and I also use this on a Thursday after I've been swimming. I find that it helps calm my skin down, especially after being in a swimming pool, and my skin just feels brighter and more refreshed after using it.

After these two items, I would say the other three have had around the same level of impact on me.
I enjoy using the Enzyme Cleansing Gel as my daily cleanser as it seems gentle on my skin and my skin does generally feel clean after using it.
I also like using the Flower and Tonic Mask. Straight after wiping it off my skin honestly feels amazing. It feels so clean and smooth, like I've really got the crap out of my skin. However, these results never last for a long time on me, and its a fine line between using a mask like this regularly and overloading your skin, possibly drying it out.

Finally, there's the Drying Powder. This is such an odd product! I'll start of by saying that I actually love the results of this. I find that it really helps to clear my skin and it reduces the appearance of my pores. I don't really have blackheads so I can't comment on that aspect of the product. However, its such a messy, hard product to use. I followed the instructions on the pot, only for it to go horrendously wrong. I then found the best way to use it was to pretend it was icing sugar, and to add water to the powder in very tiny stages until the desired consistency was reached.

Overall, I was very impressed with the set. It was my first experience of using Mario Badescu products and I would definitely be up for going back and trying more.

Thanks for reading guys, and as always if you have any comments or any suggestions on what I should try next feel free to leave a comment!xxx

Snow Day

Hi Guys!
So I'm sat at home typing this whilst on my first ever snow day!
As pretty much everyone will have seen, the U.K has has some pretty decent snow fall the past couple of days. Here in Worcester, we've had enough snow to ensure that the city pretty much ground to a halt yesterday, and that pretty much every school in the city has shut today. Thanks to this, I'm on an unexpected day off so I'll use this as a chance to pre write some more blog posts and catch up on housework.

It's been a few years since we last had proper snow, so I tried to make the most of yesterday by going for walks around the estate, having snowball fights with the neighbours and even building the worlds worst snowman with my mum. I've not yet ventured outside properly today, but after freezing conditions last night I can imagine it's pretty icy out there!

I hope you've all has as much fun in the snow as I have, and if you do go out wrap up warm as it's bloody freezing!
Love you all xxx

(Meet the Snowman so appalling, we didn't bother naming him)

New Goodies

Hi loves, welcome back! I'm going to be showing the new goodies I've been buying over the past couple of days.

Most of these products are new to me , however the Miss Baby Roll Mascara is a repurchase as I really liked the last tube I had.

My goodies include:
The Maybelline Tattoo Brow in Dark Brown (£12.99)- I've seen some really interesting posts about this since it has been released so I've finally got around to purchasing it. I will definitely update once I've used it!
The L'Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mascara (7.99)- As mentioned before, this is a repurchase for me, so I already know that I really like this mascara.
New Look Brush on Brows Fibre Gel (4.99)- I've been on the lookout for a new brow gel for a while now, and I really liked the look of the wand on this so I'm looking forward to using it.
New Look Prep and Protect Nail Care (3.99)- I'm really bad at remembering to use a base coat and a top coat when painting my nails, so I hope by buying a 2-1 I 'll actually remember to use this one!

Thanks for reading guys, and as always and comments/feedback are welcome!xxx

Beauty Bay Haul

Hi Lovelies, welcome back!

So I recently treated myself and bought some items of Beauty Bay that I've been dying to try for aaaaages. I have been testing the skincare products out so there will be a full review coming up of those, but for now I thought I'd show the haul as a preview.

The delivery of the package was pretty quick from what I can remember, although it was delivered by Hermes, who actually left a £50 package in my wheelie bin (eye-roll).

The Mario Badescu Essentials 50th Anniversary Edition cost me £32 and contains the Enzyme cleansing gel, the Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water, the Drying Lotion, Silver Powder and a Flower and Tonic Mask. I've now tried everything  from the set so will do a full review in a couple of days.

The Small Magnetic Z palette cost me £8.50 and can fit up to 9 shadow pans inside. There not a lot more I can really say about a z palette other than it holds the shadows nicely to be honest...

To go with the Z palette I bought my very first Make-Up Geek eyeshadows. I got the shade 'Bitten' as I had seen this shade recommended by a few people, and then I got the shade 'Peacock' as I don't own any blues and I wanted something a bit more interesting than my normal neutral look. I'm yet to really create any looks with these but will post when I do!

Thanks for reading guys! I hope you enjoyed this post, and keep your eyes peeled for future uploads! Any feedback is welcome xxx

A Week in the Life of Me

Hi Guys! So I thought I would do something a little bit different than I normally do, and do a weekly blog on what I've been doing throughout the week. I won't be doing this every week- However I've had quite a fun week so thought it would be interesting to write this!

Friday
Friday daytime was quite a relaxed day for me. It was my last week day off before I returned to work,so I spent time at home catching up on a few things and pre-writing blog posts. Friday was also the day when the second season of Stranger Things was released, so I watched the first two episodes at night. I couldn't wait for Stranger Things to come back on Netflix, and was definitely not disappointed!

Saturday
Saturday day time was spent by me having a huge tidy up of the whole house. I love it when my room is clean and tidy as it really helps to clear the mind and I just feel so much better once I've done so. I then started to get ready at around four in the afternoon, as I was going out into town with a group of friends for a Halloween night out. I loved doing my make-up for the night but annoyingly I didn't manage to take any photos before I went out.

Sunday
I spent most of the day with my family nursing a minor hangover and feeling slightly sorry for myself (Vodka is not my friend). I was so excited for the evening though, as me and Ollie were heading up to Birmingham for a drift experience I had booked him for his birthday. Watching Ollie learn to drift was amazing, and I even got to have a go as a passenger for 3 lap which was an incredible experience. I have only good things to say about the company Learn2Drift as they made it such a fun experience for us!

Monday
So today was my first day back at work after the half-term. I've actually missed being in the classroom so I was quite looking forward to going back, even though it really doesn't feel like I've had a week off. In the evening I went to my clubbersize class, and this week we all dressed up for Halloween. I needed something that looked really good but I could still dance in, so in the end I went for zombie 80's. This is actually my most favourite outfit ever and the class was so much fun this week!

I apologize for the crappy photo

Tuesday
Today was a pretty chilled out day for me today. I went to work as normal, then came home and took my Mum and Nan shopping. Once I was home I carried on watching Stranger Things and tried to get an early night for once!

Wednesday
Another chilled out day for me today. Wednesdays are an earlier finish for me so I went into town after work to pick up a package. Nighttime consisted of me watching the final episode of Stranger Things (sob.. I'm already so excited for the next one)

Thursday
I spent my day at work as normal because I lead such an exciting life... me and Ollie then attempted to go and watch a local fireworks display but couldn't quite see them from where we had parked so that was a bit of a fail!

Friday
In all honesty I ended up feeling a bit rubbish on Friday so all I wanted to do when I came home was to eat crap. So me and Oll ended up buying a Dominoes and having night in front of the telly. I did feel better after the pizza though!

Saturday
So I know this day takes it over the week mark. However, I really wanted to include it as I had a really good day on Saturday. Ollie took me up to IKEA for the first time, and omg I'm in love with the place. I then went to Pitchcroft fireworks display with my brother, Ollie and my niece and we had an amazing time together.

Thanks for reading Guys! I really enjoyed writing this blog post and if you read the whole thing I can only say thank you! It still feels weird to just constantly type about my boring life and I can't actually imagine people reading this, so truly thank you everyone xxxx

Friday Shopping Trip

Hi Everyone!

So to make the most of the week me and Ollie had off together, we decided to get up early yesterday morning and go for a mooch around town. I love going shopping during the week as town is so much quieter, even during half term. I feel that working weekends in a shop for four years has traumatised me and I do my utmost to avoid the place mid-day Saturday, so being able to go during the week was a real luxury. (How easily pleased am I?!)

I've had a River Island gift card burning a hole in my purse now for months, so that was the first place I went to. Ollie is a man of many talents, and was able to pick out the perfect little bag for me and after using my £10 gift card it only cost me £14, so winner winner chicken dinner!

After River Island we then went over to Primark. Unusually, I wasn't wowed by anything in there today which is a surprise as I was expecting to fall in love with loads of winter clothes in there. However, I do often find that Primarks in other places usually have better things in than ours so I guess I'll have to just keep looking. I did find a really cute beanie in there which only cost me £2. It came in a range of colours so I may have to go back and get some more as I love a good beanie.

After looking around a few more shops we ended up in Sports Direct. The only thing I ended up buying was an Ab Roller, which i genuinely think may have the power to kill me off. I've only tried using it once and it failed miserably, so I'll update if I ever get better at it!

As always guys, thanks for reading! Any comments or feedback is much appreciated xxx

My thoughts on: On and Off the Wagon

Hi guys!

So it's been a while since I last wrote a blog post, life has just been hectic and I felt like I've been really struggling to write anything from a beauty perspective.. I guess I've been stuck in a bit of a rut with my make-up routines and the products I used so I felt like I lacked the ability to write any meaningful content. However, I started this blog with the intention of discussing my (slightly boring) life as well as one of my main passions, so I decided to just start typing and see where I ended up!

The thing I want to talk about today is something I briefly spoke about in a previous post- my weight loss story. At that point when the blog post went up, I was in a really good place with my health and the direction it was heading. Shortly after that post, I went on a holiday for a week and allowed myself to relax a bit more whilst down there. When I came back home I only had a day to settle back into a normal routine before returning to work and then working a very busy seven week term. Through all this, I let my healthy eating habits completely slip- I was back to only eating one really unhealthy meal a day, I was back drinking energy drinks again. The gym got sidelined all together and during that time the only thing I carried on with was my clubbersize classes as I absolutely love going to those. Whilst during all of this I only put 3 pounds back on, I ended up feeling so tired and lethargic and I missed the feeling I had when I was on track.

Fast forward to just over a week ago when I realised that payday fell on the wrong side of half-term and I was facing a week of having a good week off with very limited funds. It was at this point that me and my partner decided it was time to get back into the gym seeing as we pay for it monthly, and to focus on our nutrition. To say we went hard is an understatement. We have been going to the gym every day, as well as also going swimming (sometimes on the same day) and both been sticking to strict calorie limits. The results of this have been amazing, and although I haven't weighed myself since the start of the week, I can already feel the benefits of regular exercise and ensuring my body has the right nutrition.

However, I feel like it is important to say here that it's not always perfect. As previously mentioned, I have a history of unhealthy eating patterns, and when I'm calorie counting I can very easily become too obsessed with tracking what I eat and overly restricting myself to the point where my body isn't getting enough fuel. This led to a moment of slight panic today when I sat having a family meal that had been planned for a while, I glanced at the menu and had to decide between my favourite foods and food I don't like as much of the 'lighter' menu just to fit in with my calorie limit. This was when my lovely partner stepped in and reminded me that enjoying myself is more important that constantly obsessing over calories and not enjoying food. So I opted for the smothered chicken and I can honestly say I don't regret my decision one bit. I even let myself be talked into having a pudding I'd been dying to try for ages and yet again, I 100% do not regret having the cake. I just think that sometimes I need a gentle reminder to enjoy things as a treat, and not then eat far too much or too little.

This is said cake. Did this cake take me over my calorie allowance for the day? Absolutely. Did I enjoy eating it? Definitely. Do I care that it took over my calorie allowance for the day? Absolutely not. Yum.

So this actually turned out to be a massively long post! If you made it this far, honestly well done for reading my waffle! I just feel like this is such an important topic to discuss as there are so many people like myself in the world who have a distorted view of food and healthiness and if I can help just one person overcome this then that makes it worthwhile.
So as always lovelies, thank you so much for reading!xxx

Why I Took a Break

Hello lovely readers!
As the title would suggest, I took a break away from blogging and Instagram for a while. I genuinely felt that I needed a break away from being online so much as it had become a slight obsession for me, and I found myself starting to compare myself to other people online and wondering why my life didn't seem as fun and interesting as theirs. I then starting to stress about the way I looked, so once I reached that stage I knew it was time to take a step back and re-evaluate where I was. However, I'm back now with a whole new mindset and I'm really excited about getting stuck in again!

So while I was away the first big change I made to my life was that I finally quit smoking! I'd smoked solidly since my early teens, so by the age of 21 the addiction was well and truly set. However, during that time the price of tobacco has steadily increased to the point where I simply didn't want to pay it any more, and I was ready to start living a healthier lifestyle. I started my journey by using a small vape pen and lasted for three weeks using that alone, but I felt that it wasn't enough to kill the cravings, so I went out and bought a SMOK Stick and I've never looked back! I can honestly say quitting has made me feel so much better in myself and having the extra money has really made a difference. If you are considering quitting, all I can say is just go for it,you won't regret it!

The second big change I made in my life was to overhaul my eating patterns. I don't really want to call it a diet as to me it is the way I intend to eat for the rest of my life now, whereas a diet is a short term fix. My background with dieting and my eating pattern is a very messy one, for years I have had an incredibly unhealthy relationship with food. At one point in my life I would consume roughly 800 calories a day and would weigh myself at least twice a day, and another point in  my life saw me bingeing  massively in one day and then restricting myself for days afterwards. Years of yo-yo dieting and an unhealthy lifestyle have now lead to me being overweight and not happy at all with my body.About four weeks ago I decided enough was enough and set myself the task of eating at least two meals every single day and ensuring they were healthy meals. To help me with this I use My Fitness Pal to track my calorie intake and make sure I stay under my calorie limit. I've also started going to the gym most nights a week and I go to a Clubbersize session once a week. After four weeks of hard work I've lost nearly a stone and my mindset towards weight loss and exercise has completely changed and now I love it!

So this turned out to be a really long post! If you've made it this far then thank you sooooo much for reading this post. I have a tendency to waffle but I really wanted to explain a bit more about my life and why sometimes you have to take some time for yourself.
Love you all xxxxx

ColourPop Order/ First Impressions

Hi guys!
So today I'm going to be discussing my first ColourPop order. As I live in the UK, Colourpop is a hard brand to get hold off as you can only order it off their website, meaning you have to pay for shipping and customs. However, they recently held a free international shipping event and because I spent under $19, I didn't get hit with a custom charge, wooo! I ordered my items on the 6th of May, they were dispatched on the 10th of May and they arrived on the 18th of May, meaning the whole process took just under two weeks which considering the amount of orders they will have received is really good.

I ordered three products which totalled $18. At the time I ordered ColourPop had an offer where you could buy three liquid lipsticks for about $12 (I think), so I saw a few people order these and then another item to bring their total to the $19. However, these people were still stung with a customs charge as the total declared is the products value, not the price you paid, meaning people were being charged for a $20+ order. I was unaware of this at the time so I'm so glad the other lipstick shade I wanted was out of stock!

Instead I chose to get two liquid lipsticks and a gel eyeliner. I ordered the Ultra Satin Lip in the shade 'Alyssa' which is a collab with Kathleen Lights, and the Ultra Matte Lip in 'Saigon', which is a collab with Karrueche. They eyeliner is a simple black gel eyeliner in the shade 'Swerve'.

Since they arrived, I've tried both the liquid lipsticks and can say that I honestly love them both. I'm always really worried about ordering make-up online as I haven't been able to swatch the products, so I never know if the shade actually suits me. However, I love both of these products. Alyssa ($6) is a gorgeous nude colour that I imagine would go with pretty much anything. Saigon ($6) is a true red and I feel that it suits my skin tone and it compliments my eye colour, something I struggle with when choosing a red normally. I've only worn them for a few hours a day just to test them out so I can't comment on the longevity of the products, but they did feel really comfy to wear and I didn't experience any uncomfortable or tightening sensations.

I have also tried the eyeliner once. However, I've not got too much to say about the eyeliner yet as when I used it, it honestly didn't go too well. However, I'm putting that down to my poor application as opposed to the product, as it's been such a long time since I used a gel eyeliner and brush that I had sort of forgotten how to do it, which has nothing to do with the product or the brand!

Swatches- Saigon on top, Alyssa underneath

Also, as a sidenote Saigon is hard to remove. I tried to do a  pretty, Instagram-worthy swatch on my wrist but I cocked up on the edges., When i went to use my wipes to remove it the product just did not budge. Four hours and a lot of wiping and oils later and there is still a trace of the product on my arm. I'm kind of dreading removing it off my lips now!

Thanks for reading guys, let me know what your favourite ColourPop products are as I'm so down for trying more things from them! Any feedback is appreciated as always xxx

Boots/ Soap and Glory Haul

Hi Guys!
So today I'm going to be discussing my latest Boots/Soap and Glory buys. I bought these a few weeks ago, when Boots had offers on most of the Soap and Glory products. Anyone who knows me will know how much I love this brand. It's my go to brand for good moisturisers and skincare products, and for every birthday and Christmas present I was end up with some form of Soap and Glory Product, so I was so excited when this arrived!

I'm so awful and didn't write down how much I paid for everything, and I can't get back to the emails from when I ordered it (thanks technology), so I wont be able to list how much I paid. Sorry!

So as well as there being offers on the products, I do remember at the time there was a special offer where if you spent £15(?) on make-up, you received a free gift which I was so down for. I already knew I loved the Thick and Fast Mascara and the Supercat Eyeliner, and was so excited to try the Pillow Plumper XL. I can honestly say I love everything that came in this gift and I use the products nearly every day.
Who doesn't love a free gift?

For skincare I bought the Speed Plump All Day Moisturiser. I received a Soap and Glory gift set for Christmas just gone, and this moisturiser was in the set so I knew I liked using this product based on past experience. I'd used it for a while before it ran out, and after I stopped using it I definitely noticed a different to my skin and the reappearance of dry patches, which has since gone away since using it again. Also, this product works really well as a primer as it makes your face feel quite tacky after application, making your foundation stick to it which I found very interesting!

I also bought the One Heck of a Blot Primer after hearing good things about it. When I first started using this primer, I was impressed with how my foundation looked when applied. However, part of me is now thinking that I wanted this product to work so much I fooled myself into believing it was amazing, as after a few hours my oils are breaking through my foundation. This primer would probably work a lot better for someone who's skin isn't as oily as mine!

And finally, I bought the Smoulder Kohl Waterproof eyeliner in a dark brown. Again I had high hopes for this as I'm a big fan of the Supercat eyeliner as was expecting another great eyeliner. While it is a really nice shade of brown, nothing about this eyeliner wows me as it is literally just an eyeliner. However, I can'r fault it and maybe I should just lower my expectations.

Oh and lovely lovely Boots sent a free sample of the Black Opium perfume from Yves Saint Laurent. I had never tried this perfume before, but now I'm absolutely in love with this and I will treasure the sample forever as there is no way I'd be able to afford a full bottle for myself :(

So there was my Boots/ Soap and Glory Haul. Thank you guys so much for reading if you made it this far, and as always any comments are appreciated. I would absolutely love to know what your favourite Soap and Glory products are! Thanks xxx

Review: Collection Primed and Ready Correct and Conceal

 Hi Guys, me again 😊
Today I'm reviewing the Collection Primed and Ready Correct and Conceal Palette. I purchased this palette a while back in Boots, but I wanted to give it a decent amount of time to test it before I reviewed it.

This product claims to be "an easy to blend cream to powder colour correcting" concealer. The instructions state to use the green concealer to hide redness, the lilac concealer to disguise yellow tones and to then follow up with the tube concealer and setting powder.

I found that this palette is the sort that does what it says on the tin- the green concealer shows up as green, the purple concealer shows up as a nice lilac and the setting powder sets product well. When using them to colour correct on my skin, I notice some difference in how my skin tone looks after applying my foundation and I feel that my skin does look more even. Personally, I feel that the absolute winner in this palette is the Primed and Ready concealer tube. I use this daily, even when I'm not using the whole palette on my face, and I really do love it.

Winner winner, chicken dinner

So while I may love the tube of concealer, my overall feelings towards the palette are a bit meh. The colour correcters do work, but I don't feel that they have enough of an impact on my face to make them an essential for everyday wear. I'd much rather build up my foundation in certain places and only use one product than digging around finding this and then having to go over the top afterwards with my foundation, but on full face days I do make the effort to do so.

Overall, for the price its a great easy to use colour correcting palette and in my opinion the tube concealer is totally worth buying!
Thanks for reading guys and as usual any feedback is greatly appreciated! xxx

Review: Milani Conceal and Perfect Foundation

Hi Guys!
So today I'm going to be reviewing my current foundation, the Milani Conceal and Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer. So if that is something that interests you, buckle up and enjoy!

I purchased this foundation from the Beauty Bay website (here)  for £13.00. The website claims that the foundation is a "A full coverage concealer and liquid foundation in one ideal for creating an even, faultless base". I ordered the shade 00- Light Natural as all the reviews I had seen mentioned how the colour was off and orange, so I felt that ordering the lightest shade would be my best bet.

Let me just say now that me and this foundation had a very rocky start. This was the first time I'd ordered a foundation online, as normally I prefer to go out into the shops and test out different shades. When it arrived, I realised that it was actually a shade too light for me so I'd have been better off ordering the next shade up. The first few times I used this, it went on okay but I wasn't wowed by it. Going of other reviews I had read/watched I was honestly expecting miracles, but this product seemed to go from average to awful very quickly, It clung to dry patches I didn't even know I had and it would separate in weird places around my face. Throw in the fact that it was a shade too light for me and you'd think I would hate this foundation.

However...
I now love it. I changed the moisturiser and  primer I was using at the time as I felt that they were having a negative impact on my skin. I also started mixing in my W7 Genius Featherlight Foundation in the shade True Beige, as this was a shade or two too dark for me. I stuck to using a damp beauty sponge and straight away I noticed the foundation looked so much better on my skin. It's got decent coverage but I do still use concealer to cover my under eyes, as they are dark. I do find that
I have to touch up with power throughout the day, but that could be because my skin is so oily anyway. Overall, after a rocky start and a lot of perseverance, this foundation has now become my favourite foundation and one that I use both daily and for nights out.

My W7 foundation- I use this to match the Milani Foundation to my own skin tone (Apparently I'm darker than I tonight I was)

And here's the foundation spread out!
Please let me know your thoughts and views on this product as I'd love the hear them! Thank you so much as always xxx

Birthday Haul

Hi Guys!
So I know  I haven't done a post in a while, real life just became crazy and I've struggled to even find the time to sit and relax, never mind typing an entire post out! However, it was my 21st birthday a couple of weeks ago so my boyfriend took me to Merry Hill (hell) for a shopping day. I spent a lot of money and bought loads of new goodies which I wanted to share.

So this is all the make-up bits I brought! I ended up going into so many shops throughout the day by the end I needed a looong rest (and so did Ollie). I brought loads of clothes as well, but I didn't take any photos of those. I apologize for some of the flash in the photos, all my photos are currently taken using my Note 4 so if I have limited daylight the flash has to come out!

So I got this from the Kiko shop in Merry Hill. Online, it's priced up as £9.90 on their website, but i found it for a lot less in the shops. I think it was around £4.00, but am unsure. You can find this product here. I will include a full review of this mascara on my blog soon so keep your eyes peeled!

I have an issue with mascaras. I purchased this Models Own mascara from Superdrug, and it can also be found on their website (here). It's displayed as £6.99 for the mascara and £1.99 for the wand, but again I know I paid a lot less for this in store. I love the idea of being able to customise your own mascara so was so happy when Ollie pointed this out to me! Full review to follow soon.

I also picked this Revolution kit up in Superdrug. This is listed as £6.00 on their website. I chose the shade Echelon, and am so in love with this shade. However, I'm not as over struck on the product in general. I will post a full review of this product soon where i share all my thoughts on this.

And finally... I love a good false nail, but they're not always practical in my job, so I prefer using stick on nails for when it's the school holidays.

I did pick up some other bits which you can see in the first photo, but did not take separate photos of these items. I should be posting some full reviews of these items once I've had time to full test them out.

And if you have made it to the end, well done and thank you so much! As always any comments are appreciated, and I would love to hear your thoughts below!xx
